Ok, so I will be off for 10 days in a long-awaited family holiday. I don’t know if I will be able to watch Downton’s next episode. But I wish you all a good week. See you when I’m back!

In the end there doesn’t have to be anyone who understands you. There just has to be someone who wants to.
It’s beautiful when you find someone that is in love with your mind. Someone that wants to undress your conscience and make love to your thoughts. Someone that wants to watch you slowly take down all the walls you’ve built up around your mind and let them inside.
There’s a brief moment when you first wake up where you have no memories, a blissful blank slate, a happy emptiness, but it doesn’t last long and you remember exactly where you are and what you are trying to forget.
As he caught her into his arms, she gave a sob that went through him like a knife. But as the minutes passed and she half lay in his arms in the shadow of the cab’s awning, he loved her so much and felt so close to her that he couldn’t believe anything could really have gone wrong.

Aham. Lovely Cora! And as much as I love Robert (and I still do, not for tonight, of course), she should have hit him on his head with her book after that Isis comment.
I hope there will a scene in the future where he regrets everthing he is doing to her.

:-))) Oh, Mr. Carson. :-)))

In the last scene in the room while he screamed it becomes clear that she is losing patience with him. And then, Isis…

Simon Bricker

Mr Molesley

Now she is starting to figure out.

I didn’t watched the whole episode, I started from the scene where Anna was at the chemist, so I didn’t know how the first half was.

But from what I saw:
* Chelsie was very good, and I loved the scenes between Carson and Hughes especially that she is embarrassed by him
* Molesley and Baxter, sweet, very subtle, brilliant
* Very little Anna and Bates, which I find strange so far.
* JF made a mess with two characters in this episode: Robert and Mary. I said before that Robert from this episode is another man and not the Robert we know, stubborn and who sometimes takes a long time to see things in front of him. But he is not rude or cruel, much less with Cora. Perhaps an explanation will emerges and they would say that he was possessed by an evil spirit or something … And Mary. JF simply ignored everything that happened with Mary last season and led her back to who she was in the first season.

By the way, I believe and appreciate three dimensional characters. But not in characters from another dimension.

Any thoughts?

is this Bricker guy already undressing Cora with his eyes? LOL

Yeah, I saw that eye sex. (At least on his part.)

LOL…he has been doing that since the Scarlet Pimpernel

Well said. LOL. By the way, great performance of Richard E. Grant in this episode. Bricker is very smooth.

I did quite enjoy of the tinge of jealousy on Robert’s face as he was leaving the room where Cora and Simon were.

Maybe this was the only real Cobert moment in this whole episode.
